After the "Pubs in Putney" post we're going to cover a really nice place in Central London.
St. Katharine's Docks is a marina right in Central London with a really amazing atmosphere and lots of good and varied restaurants and cafes. The nearest tube stations are Tower Hill (District and Circle lines) and Tower Gateway (DLR), just 10 minutes away. You can also get there quite quickly from the London Bridge tube station (Jubilee and Northern lines) which is just about 18 - 20 minutes away.
I'm going to start with my favourite place there - The Dickens Inn. It is located in an original warehouse building, which according to their website - certainly existed at the turn of the 18th century and may well have been born in the 1700's. The Dickens Inn has three floors. On the ground floor there is the tavern bar which has good beers on tap. The first floor and second floors are a pizzeria and grill where you can enjoy the stunning views of St. Katharine's Docks from the balconies with hanging flower baskets, which make the atmosphere of the docks even better.
You can also enjoy Turkish food at Kilikya's. They have excellent food and service and plenty of meals and wines to choose from. Next to The Dickens Inn there is also a nice Indian restaurant - Mala Indian and next to the Kilikya's there's an Italian restaurant from the Zizzi chain as well.
Even if it's not for lunch or dinner you can just grab a coffee from the Starbucks there and enjoy the walk - St. Katharine's Docks is really a place worth visiting.
I love this place 😍
